High Level of Learning, Regional Labor Market Significance and Alignment
Within the Business department at Northland Pioneer College, we are excited to announce our initiative to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) across all five of our business programs, which include four associate degrees and one bachelor’s degree. While we may not have the resources to develop a comprehensive AI program, we recognize the importance of equipping our business students with the skills to effectively utilize AI in their professional endeavors.
To ensure our students remain competitive in the job market, we have begun to incorporate AI into 10% of all assignments and activities in every business and economics . Furthermore, during academic year 2026-2027, this integration will increase to 20%. This approach not only facilitates student learning about AI within various course contexts but also enables our faculty to swiftly adapt the AI curriculum in response to the rapid advancements in technology, without the need to overhaul entire course structures.
