This promising practice establishes a statewide BSN consortium model designed to increase access, collaboration, and efficiency among rural community colleges. It allows nursing students to remain in their home communities while completing a BSN degree. Through shared curricula, faculty resources, and aligned academic standards, the model reduces duplication, enhances student support, and maximizes limited resources. The model includes a clear, seamless academic pathway, fostering equitable educational attainment and addressing the rural workforce shortage of nurses with advanced degrees. It also creates a sustainable structure for shared governance, financial stewardship, and quality assurance across partner institutions.
