CCBA provides leadership and resources to help build and sustain high-value, quality, career-focused community college baccalaureate degrees, to maximize opportunities for all learners to achieve family-sustaining careers.

VISION

That all students will have broad access to high-value, quality baccalaureate degrees that contribute to the economic strength of their families and the vitality of their communities.

Value of Community College Baccalaureate Degrees:

  • Serve as a gateway to advanced career opportunities and economic mobility;
  • Allow students who desire to pursue a baccalaureate degree to do so in a way that is accessible and affordable;
  • Are a structural evolution of higher education that provides access to groups not historically well-served or represented in higher education;
  • Provide a culturally and socially inclusive environment that fosters a student’s growth and honors their personal stories;
  • Are connected to the community’s workforce needs and work in partnership to achieve economic development goals;
  • Ensure that broad access and opportunity to programs is available to all.

What We Do: 

  • Prioritize broad access as a guiding principle for all organization-related activities and decisions.
  • Share resources and facilitate networking to augment the knowledge, skills and abilities of members.
  • Co-construct opportunities with partners nationally and internationally to ensure collective, positive impact.
  • Disseminate information, evidence, and expertise to expand awareness of the baccalaureate with a focus on individual and community outcomes, equity, and social justice.
  • Advocate for the CCB at the state, regional, and national levels.
  • Implement a financial plan that assures sustainability of the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
