Promoting Education
“America’s community colleges are experiencing the most creative and substantive period of transformation in their 118-year history. There has never been so much research, so much support from foundations, and so much commitment from national leaders to re-imagine community colleges for today and for the future.” – 13 Ideas that Are Transforming the Community College World, edited by Terry O’Banion
Serving as a leading resource for institutions seeking to re-define their higher education practices and offerings, the Community College Baccalaureate Association (CCBA) aims to promote affordable access to community college baccalaureate degrees as a means of closing the nation’s racial, ethnic and economic gaps.
Since 1999, the CCBA has been providing its members a gateway to research data, publications, best practices, state legislation, and experienced consultants that guide and advise institutions as they are advocating for, developing, and/or implementing their baccalaureate programs.
Today, with the support of the CCBA, more than 23 states allow their community colleges to offer baccalaureate degrees. Together, the CCBA and its members will continue to redefine higher education to benefit students. their communities, the national workforce, and global marketplace.
